The reason for going white was to lighten and open up the kitchen – which has an enclosed U shape and no natural light. Plus the cabinets were in pretty bad state. They’re also pretty low quality, but changing them belongs to a future kitchen remodel in some years time.
Green for the inside to make them a bit more fun and less sterile. The green paint ended up looking a bit sloppy (a 3rd coat of paint might have fixed it, but we didn’t have time). But it was less noticeable once the shelves went back in. And I’m hoping it’ll be even less noticeable once we put stuff in them.
